PILOT-ABP in Polymer2015
INESCOP presented the first results of PILOT-ABP project in the poster session of the "4th International Symposium Frontiers in Polymer Science" in Italy on 20th – 22th May 2015.
INESCOP prepared a poster communication to present the results obtained in WP1 and WP2 related to the functional biopolymers pilot plant. The poster entitled “Obtaining valuable gelatine derivatives from rendered products”, reported the flocculation capability of biopolymers obtained from rendered protein meals by means of an extraction process with an enzymatic and hexane pre-treatment.
The objective of this poster was to show the valorisation possibilities as flocculants of these biopolymers obtained in the project at lab scale. According to the Organisation, the Symposium was attended by 602 participants from 59 different countries.
